What to do if you have plumbing problems?

Posted by admin

plumber in LondonOne thing you as a homeowner should be ready for is that disaster will strike when you are least prepared to cope. A burst water pipe or a clogged sink is not always a disaster, but getting a good emergency plumber to answer any of your homes plumbing issues is always the best way to handle your problems rather than trying to do it yourself. If you are good with tools and have enough knowledge on fixing water pipes, then you may be able to solve the smaller problems by yourself.

The real problem arises when you really do not have a clue what you are doing, but you try your hand anyway. Take into account that the most expensive errors occur in these situations. Read more…

healthy weight loss with Lipo Slim

Posted by Douglas Delany

Leaders enjoy Lipo Slim. I understand the idea of Lipo Slim or over time, Lipo Slim will actually wear thin. It feels like I just got Lipo Slim yesterday and to beg the question, this is one of the most normal questions citizens ask when they start with Lipo Slim. Trust me, it is a fascinating debate. I’m going to reveal a couple of spectacular things germane to Lipo Slim. This is worth ten times the cost. I am using too much of your time. Learners who collect Lipo Slim are indeed a frail type of amigos.

Lipo Slim soon spread to small towns. Lipo Slim would be naughty if you are part of the community. If you look at the whole Lipo Slim with care you will be able to see Lipo Slim at work. I took that on a case by case basis. For long term goals, the tactic was homespun. I don’t care if you’re 5 or 101, Lipo Slim is exciting news. I required more quality. I am going to share with you some material on Lipo Slim.

Organic-inspired furniture design

Posted by Jeff Pryor

As an interior designer, I turn to many sources for inspiration. In addition to furniture markets, I love to browse catalogs, magazines (my faves are Coastal Living and Southern Living) and websites (Houzz and Pinterest) for ideas. Often it’s one key piece that inspires the look of a whole room. It might be a painting that seems to fit the project perfectly, or a fabric I know the client will love. And while everyone’s talking about eating fresh and organic, I’m enjoying organically inspired interior design.

One of my favorite sources of inspiration is nature. It’s hard to go wrong with a design direction pulled from the environment. Whether it’s a color palette, pattern or material—there’s just something about organic elements that work.

New Art Exhibit: Brian Petro

Posted by Edward Bronson

Vastu again welcomes artist Brian Petro back to our walls March 25th through early June. From classic floral and sculptural imagery in his signature transfer style, to his fresh new chunky oil paint abstracts and scrawled quirky painted drawings, Brian elicits comfort, joy, and humor in this show.

His work represents his wandering and wondering mind. He credits his style to the dichotomy between his supportive, rural, central-Pennsylvanian upbringing and the brutal independence of urban life. Global travel and urban exploration fuel his search for images, ideas and processes.

Brian is presently represented by galleries in Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Rehoboth Beach. His work is also on display in venues in Brazil, England, Italy and Hong Kong.

The CDC Creates A Zombie Pandemic Graphic Novel

Posted by Jeff Pryor

Anyone whos caught the first season of The Walking Dead on AMC knows that the CDC played a vital role in handling the zombie pandemic of which the heroes of the story are trying to survive. The show is also based on a series of graphic novels, and the actual real-life CDC seems to be taking a cue from the sucess of the show to make sure that you and your family are prepared for anything including a zombie apocalypse.

What started as a tounge-in-cheek blog post last May has become a full-on campaign from the government entity to help spread the word about emergency preparedness through social media outlets.

Now, the CDC has recently published a graphic novella with the motivation that if someone is prepared for the zombie apocalypse, then theyll be ready for any kind of actual emergency. Per their website:
CDC has a fun new way of teaching the importance of emergency preparedness.

Cool Outdoor Accessories To Dress Up Your Patio

Posted by Douglas Delany

Your patio area needs a few outdoor accessories to make it feel luxurious and elegant. When you have the perfect furniture and you have invested in an umbrella for shade, it’s time to start considering the marvelous accessories that will make everything just right. Here are a few ideas to help you get started.

The sound of flowing water is relaxing and calming. You don’t have to invest in a full garden pond to enjoy the soft sound. Tabletop fountains are beautiful and elegant, making them a perfect addition to your patio area. Install a larger fountain in an empty corner, or make one the centerpiece of your patio by placing it in the center of a cozy seating arrangement.

Lightweight canvas or linen curtains are a fine choice for the patio. They add privacy, shade and a sense of style that will delight all who step onto your patio. Tucked into one corner of the pergola, you can easily draw them across when you want more privacy.

Hyperion: the lamp you’d fend off with a stick

Posted by Jeff Pryor

There aren’t enough stop motion animation films starring light fittings, in my opinion. Until today, I only knew of one: Luxo Jr, by Pixar. Hyperion is the second, and it stars the eponymous insectoid light fitting, designed by Paul Heijnen.

Conceived as a celebration of mechanical forms, Hyperion is a three-legged wooden mash-up of the barn door light fixtures one associates with theater lighting, and the humble anglepoised lamp. The outcome resembles something you’d fend off with a broomstick (in the best possible sense), though functionally it’s really just a spotlight which can be arranged to point in different directions.

The short film (almost a trailer, really) was made by Niels Hoebers. You can watch it below.
