Samsung and SodaStream reveal refrigerator with sparkling water dispenser

Posted by Jeff Pryor

Refrigerators have gotten some handy upgrades in recent years, with everything from Wi-Fi enabled touchscreens to blast chillers for quickly cooling a beer. Now, Samsung has partnered with SodaStream to introduce the RF31FMESBSR Four-Door Refrigerator, which comes with a built-in sparkling water dispenser for making homemade soda.

SodaStream is known mainly for producing home devices for carbonating beverages, which it markets as a way to save space and money on store-bought soda. For the RF31FMESBSR Four-Door Refrigerator, the company incorporated similar technology into the water and ice dispenser on the door.

Users can choose between three levels of carbonation and have sparkling water poured right into their cup, which can then be flavored if they prefer. A standard SodaStream 60L CO2 cylinder hidden inside the door provides the fizziness and can easily be replaced once it’s empty.

Feathering Your Nest With Romance!

Posted by Jeff Pryor

You can find it in the heart of playwrights, songs, poetry, and books. And maybe to some surprise; a story about grandma that you may have never heard. Romance is everywhere! When you hear the unique portrayals from creative writers and the personal tales of encounters with the sweet embrace of romance, there is an echo of harmonious commonality within every story. A deep intimate bond was created.

As part of my own love story; most evenings my husband and I get to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets of Locust Lake. Living lakefront facing the west has contributed to why I now love to keep my camera constantly on standby.

When I go running out of the house with camera in hand, my husband will grin and say “I know where you are going.

Enhance Your Home’s Exterior Security

Posted by Jeff Pryor

When it comes to protecting your home and your family, the exterior is just as important as any interior security features you may have. The best thing about most of these suggestions is that they’re relatively budget-friendly, too, and therefore easier to incorporate.

Of course, one of the number-one exterior security features is lighting. ADT Security says you can choose from three types of lighting, depending on your specific situation.

1. All-night lighting: A light-sensitive photocell allows the light to turn on at dusk and off at dawn. That way, your property is illuminated all night. The downside? Because the light is on for such a long period of time, you’ll likely see a noticeable spike in your electric bill. If this is an attractive lighting option for you, consider using a solar light instead.

2.

Two new egg yolk separators suck at their job

Posted by Jeff Pryor

Whether you’re making a meringue, a low-calorie omelet or any number of other dishes, sometimes you need just an egg white – without the yolk. Once you’ve cracked the egg open, you can try “pouring” off the yolk, or lifting it out with a traditional strainer-style egg yolk separator. Two new products, however, also give you the option of sucking it away.

Created by Texas entrepreneur Mark Fusco, the Pluck consists of a silicone squeeze bulb, attached to a clear plastic yolk chamber. To use it, you just give it a bit of a squeeze, put the business end of the device up against the yolk, then release the bulb a little.

Stihl HSA 65 Cordless Hedge Trimmer Extended Use Review , a Cordless Hedge Trimmer for Commercial Use

Posted by Jeff Pryor

By: Hal Jones

When we first got the HSA 65 to review I was interested in the 36 volt platform Stihl had just introduced. First off, 36 volt batteries are heavy and although the 36 volt tools run circles around their smaller brethren, their weight makes it difficult to achieve an ergonomically balanced tool that wont lead to muscle exhaustion with extended use.  Our friends at Stihl asked us to try the new belt system it had created to house the battery of its 36 volt systems.  The system arrived from Stihl and we immediately began to put it through its paces.

The first test we ran was checking the HSA 65s ability to cut through the thick stuff.  Our guinea pig shrubs were the large hollies located outside of our office.

Add sparkle & coziness to your home this winter

Posted by Jeff Pryor

As the holiday decorations come down and homes return to routine, I can’t help but get a sense of sadness. I love the smell of pine from the fresh cut tree that stands tall in our living room for a month and the twinkle of lights on the bushes outside. But when it all comes down, we still have a cold, dark winter ahead of us. Fortunately, there are ways to make your home cozy and sparkly throughout the dark, chilly winter days that are yet to come.

Keep lights glowing after Christmas with sparkly winter branches

Christmas lights may be expected to come down, but who says you can’t have a little bit of wintry sparkle inside your home until February? Snow is more common in January than in December, so bring the sparkle of snow and ice indoors with some sparkly decorations. I made a simple decoration for a tall cylinder vase that sits in my living room all winter long.
